Thank you all for such good care of me.
All of the staff were on the ball. Kindness itself. Explaining what was going on so I could understand.
Even brought me a cup of tea when I was awake at 4 one morning. Made it all less scary.
Nothing needs changing was a safe precessional environment.
Everything was professional with a great emphasis on my comfort in all areas.
All the staff from the consultant to the office staff were amazing, at the Spire Tunbridge Wells. The nurse care was fantastic. The Chef was also amazing asking about my dietary needs, and the food was excellent. I have white coat syndrome which I was worried about concerning my BP. But the male nurse (sorry can’t remember his name) was very supportive of my condition, enabling my BP to remain stable. The nursing staff during the day and night shifts looked after me so well, aware of my needs for pain management. Post Op the physiotherapists have also been amazing looking after me as the weeks progressed I recommend this wonderful hospital.
Everyone I came into contact with at Kims treated me with dignity, respect and a friendly smile.
The Life Box enabled my progress to be monitored and my Outpatient Appointments were relaxed and pleasant.
A special thank you to Natasha the Physiotherapist who has helped me with my range of movement since my surgery.
I had a minor knee operation, carried out under general anesthetic, as a day case. I couldn't fault the care given on the day. Extremely efficient from the moment I got there, everything was explained as needed, operation was on time, and the care upon returning to my room was excellent. I left with plenty of information on wound treatment, follow up care and emergency numbers to call if I got into difficulty.
The hospital was lovely but the staff were exceptional. Everyone was kind, caring and considerate. I felt so well looked after.
KIMS is the Rolls Royce of hospitals in Kent.
I fully trust the admin and medical staff with dealing with any health-related issues I may have. The speed of service is world class. Staff are super friendly and kind and make you feel valued as a patient dealing with issues with empathy and very professional. They are always look immaculate, the premises is clean and they are very covid aware and take great care of infection on this matter.
The hospital seems very new and all areas are immaculately clean. My room was on Pickwick Ward, which is apparently where overflow patients are placed and had a view over open fields. Operation day went like clockwork, the anaesthetist was very professional, the operation was painless and all the nursing staff were friendly and reassuring.
Over my two day stay drinks were offered regularly and pain medication came on time. The choice of meals was wide but quality was very variable and food was sometimes cold.
On discharge day I was given pain medication to take home but was rather taken aback to find that strong painkillers had only been prescribed for 5 days, when I'd expected longer. I'm presuming that the opioid crisis in America has influenced this decision but I think it is misguided.
My discharge went smoothly, with a porter being called to take me to the car and I left with a date for clip removal and a physio appointment.
